  • Masters degree in Social and Political Sciences from Lausanne University and BA in Art History from Geneva University (1985)

  • Graduated from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art (Styles in Art Course, Works of Art Course)

  • One year of work in the Stucker Gallery in Bern (1986) in the Asian Art department

  • Joined the Jan Krugier Gallery in Geneva (1986-1991) and then directed the Daniel Malingue Gallery in collaboration with Dominique Astrid Lévy (1992)

  • In 1993 founded “LS Art Curators of Collections SA” with Dominique Astrid Lévy that became « Simon Studer Art » in 2000

  • Curator of several monographic exhibitions: Nicolas de Staël, Alberto Giacometti and Alexander Calder for Museums and cultural institutions in Italy, Norway, Switzerland and the USA

  • Direction of various art projects in the public space such as « Stairs » by Peter Greenaway (1994), contest for the 200th anniversary of the Darier Hentsch & Cie private bank (1996). Artistic advisor in the development and realization of the Gustave and Léonard Hentsch Parc (2004-2015), artistic direction and management of the restoration of the « Salle des Rois » at the Hôtel de l’Arquebuse, Geneva (2013-2016)

  • Member of the Museum of Modern Art and Contemporary Art (MAMCO) Foundation (since 2009), Vice-President (2010-2015) and President of the “Friends of the Jenisch Museum, Vevey” Foundation (from 2015), member of the NGO’s "Displacement Solutions" counsel (from 2012)

  • Married for 30 years, 4 kids from 4 different parts of the world
